MLA Anuradha Rana Informs About Development works in Changut Village in Lahaul and Spiti.

Lahaul–Spiti MLA Anuradha Rana today shared details of relief and development works undertaken in Changut village in Lahaul and Spiti district following the severe impact of floods in the Miyar Valley this year. The floods caused extensive damage across the valley, with Changut village among the worst affected areas.

Addressing the media, MLA Rana said that during her visit to the affected villages, local residents raised concerns about the shortage of fodder for livestock due to flood-related losses. Responding promptly to the demand, fodder was distributed in Changut village with the support of BDC Vice Chairman Dilip Singh Bodh and other local representatives. The MLA expressed her gratitude to all those who contributed to ensuring timely assistance to the villagers.

In addition to relief measures, MLA Rana announced significant infrastructure development for the region. She informed that the government has approved budgetary provisions for the construction of bridges over the Changut, Udgoss, and Dhondhal nalas. These bridges are expected to improve connectivity and ensure safer movement for residents, especially during adverse weather conditions.

MLA Rana stated that construction work on the proposed bridges will begin in the current season. She reaffirmed her commitment to addressing public issues and said continuous efforts are being made to support disaster-affected communities and strengthen essential infrastructure in Lahaul–Spiti.
