CM Unveils Vision for a ‘Self-Reliant Himachal’ on New Year.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today outlined his government’s vision for building a “Self-Reliant Himachal” while exchanging New Year greetings with people from across the state at ‘Oak Over’, his official residence, and the State Secretariat here.
A vibrant and celebratory atmosphere prevailed from early morning as Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, senior administrative officers, police officials and government employees called on the Chief Minister to extend their New Year wishes. Later in the day, large numbers of local residents and party workers from different districts of Himachal Pradesh also gathered to convey their greetings and best wishes for the year 2026.
Expressing gratitude for the warm response, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to steering the state towards self-reliance and sustainable development. He said that the government would place special emphasis on green and sustainable energy initiatives to protect the state’s rich natural heritage.
Highlighting employment generation as a key priority, CM Sukhu stressed the need to promote high-tech industries in the state to create new job opportunities for the youth. He further stated that the government was determined to implement strong reforms in key sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, education and infrastructure.
“These reforms are aimed at improving efficiency, transparency and accessibility of public services, in keeping with the government’s vision of ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’,” the Chief Minister said.
The New Year gathering reflected the public’s continued engagement with the government and its resolve to work collectively towards inclusive growth and a sustainable future for Himachal Pradesh.
