Former CPS Sohan Lal Thakur Attends Felicitation Ceremony of Newly Appointed Mandi Congress President Champa Thakur.

Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary and senior Congress leader Sohan Lal Thakur attended a felicitation ceremony organised in honour of the newly appointed District Congress Committee (DCC) president of Mandi, Champa Thakur, at Vipasha Sadan, Bheuli in Mandi district today.
Sharing details of the programme, Sohan Lal Thakur said he was pleased to participate in the welcome ceremony organised to honour Champa Thakur on her appointment as the district Congress chief. He described the event as a dignified and significant occasion for the party organisation in the district.
The function was attended by several senior leaders of the Congress party. Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Vinay Kumar was present as the chief guest, while senior Congress leader and former minister Kaul Singh Thakur also attended the programme. Apart from them, many senior party leaders, office-bearers and workers from different parts of the district were present, reflecting unity and enthusiasm within the party ranks.
Speaking on the occasion, Sohan Lal Thakur congratulated Champa Thakur on being entrusted with the important responsibility of leading the Congress organisation in Mandi district. He expressed confidence that under her leadership, the party would be further strengthened at the grassroots level and would work in a coordinated manner to address organisational challenges.
He said that the appointment of Champa Thakur was an opportunity to energise the district unit and urged party workers to extend full cooperation to her for the effective functioning of the organisation. He added that unity, discipline and dedication among party workers were essential to ensure the success of the Congress in the district.
Sohan Lal Thakur also extended his best wishes to Champa Thakur for a successful tenure, expressing hope that she would take the party forward by connecting with workers at all levels and addressing public issues effectively.
The felicitation ceremony concluded with party leaders reiterating their commitment to strengthen the Congress organisation in Mandi district in view of the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections and future political challenges.
