Triumph FC’s Under-13 girls team scripted a memorable success by winning the Ashmita Cup State Level Championship, showcasing remarkable discipline, teamwork, and consistency throughout the tournament. With this impressive triumph, the young footballers have earned the honour of representing Himachal Pradesh at the Ashmita Cup North Zone National Championship.

The state championship victory underlines Triumph FC’s growing reputation as a strong grassroots football academy, particularly in the development of young female talent. The team remained unbeaten during the tournament, displaying tactical maturity and determination well beyond their age group to emerge as deserving state champions.

Following their state-level success, Triumph FC will now compete at the North Zone National Championship, which will feature six teams from Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Ladakh, Punjab, and Delhi. The national tournament is set to begin on 25th January, with Triumph FC scheduled to play their opening match against Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking on the achievement, Sushant Sharma, President of Triumph FC, expressed gratitude to the Himachal Pradesh Football Association (HPFA) for creating competitive platforms like the Ashmita Cup. He noted that such tournaments play a vital role in nurturing girls’ football in the state by providing young players with exposure, confidence, and a clear pathway for growth in the sport. He also acknowledged the District Football Association, Mandi, for their continuous cooperation and support throughout the team’s journey.

The team will be coached by Rajinder Singh Badhwal, whose guidance and technical input have been instrumental in the squad’s success, while Akriti Dhanwal will serve as the team manager during the national championship.

The triumph of Triumph FC’s U-13 girls team reflects the steady rise of grassroots football in Himachal Pradesh and highlights the increasing emphasis on structured development for young female footballers. As the team prepares to compete on the national stage, their achievement stands as an inspiration for aspiring players across the state and a positive sign for the future of women’s football in the region.
