CM Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones of 8 Development Projects Worth Rs. 79.60 Crore at Pragpur.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of eight major development projects worth Rs. 79.60 crore at Pragpur for the Jaswan-Pragpur Assembly Constituency in Kangra district, giving a significant boost to infrastructure, public services and employment-oriented facilities in the region.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the Model Career Centre at Kasba Kotla, constructed at a cost of Rs. 6.14 crore, aimed at providing career guidance, skill development and employment opportunities to youth. He also inaugurated the newly constructed Treasury Office building at Rakkar built at a cost of Rs. 78 lakh, additional accommodation at Government Senior Secondary School Saleti constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.04 crore, and the office building of the newly created Jal Shakti Vibhag division, Jaswan-Pragpur, constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.74 crore.

On the occasion, CM Sukhu also performed the opening ceremonies of the SDPO office at Dadasiba and Police Stations at Dadasiba, Sansarpur Main and Sansarpur Terrace, strengthening the law and order and administrative framework in the area.

The Chief Minister laid foundation stones for four major infrastructure projects, including the Pirsaluhi (Kangra) to Kitpal (Hamirpur) link road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 9.60 crore, which will improve inter-district connectivity and ease transportation for residents. He also laid the foundation stone of a Rs. 25.16 crore sewerage scheme for the heritage villages of Garli and Pragpur, aimed at improving sanitation facilities while preserving the cultural and historical character of the area.

Additionally, CM Sukhu laid the foundation stone for the construction of check dams and dykes on various nallahs and khads in Rakkar Jal Shakti Vibhag Sub-Division at a cost of Rs. 16.12 crore, which will help in flood protection, groundwater recharge and conservation of water resources. Another major project includes the Rs. 18.96 crore system improvement scheme for the construction of a 33/11 KV GIS Sub-Station at Kasba Kotla under the Electric Sub-Division of Sansarpur Terrace, which will strengthen the power supply system and ensure reliable electricity to the region.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government is committed to balanced and inclusive development, with special focus on strengthening basic infrastructure, improving public services and creating employment opportunities, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas. He reiterated that such development initiatives would play a vital role in improving the quality of life of the people and accelerating overall growth of the Jaswan-Pragpur constituency and Kangra district.
