Former minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader from Manali in Himachal Pradesh Govind Singh Thakur participated in the Parivartan Yatra held in the Jorasanko Assembly constituency of Kolkata district in West Bengal state on Sunday, where he addressed a large gathering of party workers, women, and youth.

According to Thakur, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation, particularly from women and young supporters, reflecting strong public sentiment for political change in West Bengal. He noted that the energy and determination among attendees demonstrated a growing desire for transformation in the state’s political landscape.

Speaking on the occasion, Thakur said the presence of “Matru Shakti” (women power) and youth in large numbers clearly showed their commitment to the idea of change. He added that the enthusiasm and resolve visible among the crowd signaled increasing support for the BJP’s campaign.

The Parivartan Yatra, organized by the Bharatiya Janata Party, is part of the party’s broader outreach initiative aimed at mobilizing public support across the state. Thakur expressed confidence that with the strength of the people and the dedication of party workers, the goal of bringing political change in West Bengal would eventually be realized.

Party leaders said the campaign would continue to reach more constituencies in the coming weeks.
