New Health Centre of Shamshi Cooperative Medical Aid Society Inaugurated at Bhuttico campus in Kullu.

A new office-cum-health centre of The Shamshi Cooperative Medical Aid and Public Health Society Ltd. was formally inaugurated today at the Bhuttico campus in Bhutti Colony of Kullu district, marking a significant step toward improving accessible healthcare services in the region.
The inauguration ceremony was led by chief guest Ramesh Thakur, President of the Manali Valley Livestock Cooperative Society, who officially opened the facility. Former Horticulture Minister and Bhuttico Chairman Satya Prakash Thakur graced the occasion as the guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, Satya Prakash Thakur emphasized that the cooperative initiative would directly benefit local residents by providing accessible medical assistance and strengthening public health services in the area. He assured continued institutional support, stating that all necessary resources would be extended to ensure the smooth functioning of the society.
A major highlight of the event was the voluntary commitment made by retired former Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ranjit Vaid, who agreed to offer his medical services free of cost to the society. His extensive experience and expertise are expected to significantly enhance healthcare delivery for the local population. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vaid elaborated on key aspects of public health awareness and stressed the importance of staying vigilant in the face of evolving health challenges.
Society President Vijay Singh Thakur and members of the governing body expressed their gratitude to Dr. Vaid for his generous contribution. They also thanked Bhuttico and its chairman Satya Prakash Thakur for providing office space and facilities free of cost within the campus.
Chief guest Ramesh Thakur lauded the initiative, noting that the cooperative society’s efforts in the health sector would not only fulfill its objectives but also set new benchmarks in cooperative-driven community welfare.
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries and local residents, including former Vice Chairman of HimBunkar Brahm Swaroop Thakur, Bhuttico Vice President Mohar Singh, directors Jog Dhyan and Sohan Singh, members Atma Ram and Mangat Ram, Acting General Manager Surti Devi, along with Veena Negi, Sushma Devi, Lekh Raj, Jitendra Thakur, Monika Dogra, Vinod Sharma, Deepa Devi, Rami Devi, and many others.
The inauguration of this health centre is expected to play a vital role in strengthening grassroots healthcare services and promoting cooperative-driven public health initiatives in the Kullu region.
