Fuel Tax Cut Brings Major Relief Amid Global Crisis, Says BJP Spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal.

Shimla:

Amid rising global economic uncertainty triggered by tensions in West Asia, BJP Chief Spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal has hailed the central government’s recent decision to reduce fuel prices as a “historic relief measure” for the common people.

Jamwal stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India has announced a reduction of Rs. 10 per litre in central excise duty on petrol and diesel. He emphasized that this move comes at a critical time when economies worldwide are grappling with inflationary pressures and instability.

According to Jamwal, the decision will significantly ease the financial burden on citizens while also contributing to economic stability. “This step reflects the government’s commitment to prioritizing public welfare even during challenging global conditions,” he said.

In addition to the excise duty cut, the central government has imposed export duties of Rs. 21.5 per litre on diesel and Rs. 29.5 per litre on Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF). Jamwal noted that this measure aims to ensure adequate domestic availability of fuel and prevent shortages within the country.

He further added that these policy decisions demonstrate a balanced and strategic approach by the central government, ensuring both affordability for citizens and stability in supply. “Such timely interventions underline the sensitivity and strength of governance under Prime Minister Modi,” he remarked.

Criticizing certain state governments, Jamwal alleged that while some states are increasing the tax burden on citizens, the central government continues to focus on providing relief and making people-centric decisions.

Concluding his statement, Jamwal expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and the central government, asserting that such decisive and welfare-oriented measures have strengthened public trust and are steering India toward continued progress.
