Massive Cancer Awareness Camp to Be Held in Rewalsar on January 25; SDM Smritika Negi to Be Chief Guest.

A special cancer awareness camp is set to be held in Rewalsar on January 25, organized jointly by the Lala Meme Foundation and Project Cause. The event will see the participation of Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Balh, Smritika Negi, as the chief guest.
Harmeet Singh Bittu, a prominent social activist from Mandi and coordinator of the camp, informed the press that all arrangements for the event have been completed. He added that several local organizations, including the Rewalsar Gurudwara Committee, Rewalsar Gompa Committee, Mata Naina Devi Committee, the Rewalsar Gram Panchayat, and members of the municipal council, will actively support the initiative.
Surjeet Chatterjee, Chairperson of Project Cause, stated that the main objective of the camp is to raise awareness about cancer, a serious and life-threatening disease. He highlighted that it is a matter of great fortune for the region that renowned doctor Sumit Goyal from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital will be present at the camp. Dr. Goyal will provide valuable guidance on cancer symptoms, prevention, and treatment.
Mangal Manepa, President of the Lala Meme Foundation, appealed to all residents of Rewalsar and surrounding areas, including Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu, Mandi, and Sundernagar, to attend the camp in large numbers and benefit from the expert medical advice offered.
The camp aims to educate the public, promote early detection, and encourage preventive healthcare practices in the region, making it a crucial initiative for community health.
