Students from Top Institutes Including IIT Mandi Secure Packages Up to Rs. 56 Lakh in Japan.

Students from leading engineering institutions in India, including IIT Mandi, have demonstrated outstanding performance on the global stage by securing high-paying job offers from Japanese companies. Through the AI-based platform Cognavi, 13 selected students have received annual salary packages ranging from Rs. 42.15 lakh to Rs. 56.27 lakh.

The selected candidates come not only from IIT Mandi but also from prestigious institutions such as Indian Institute of Technology Madras and SRM Institute of Science and Technology.

Despite ongoing global economic and geopolitical uncertainties, the strong demand for Indian engineering talent continues to remain robust, as reflected in these international placements.

According to available information, a total of 127 students applied for the process. After AI-based skill mapping, video assessments, and cultural fit analysis, 20 candidates were shortlisted, out of which 13 were finally selected.

The selected students have been placed in Japanese manufacturing and technology companies in roles such as data engineering, system engineering, electrical development, and product design.

Varun Modgil, Managing Director and CTO of Cognavi India, stated that India does not lack talent; rather, the challenge lies in connecting this talent with global opportunities—something that AI technology is helping to address.

Experts believe that such AI-driven platforms are opening new pathways for Indian students to build international careers, especially in core engineering domains.

Currently, Cognavi is working with more than 300 engineering institutions across India and is rapidly expanding its efforts to connect Indian talent with global companies.
