Israel Intensifies Strikes on Iranian Targets, Says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Jerusalem:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced a significant escalation in military operations targeting Iranian-linked infrastructure, stating that Israel is acting with “greater vigor and increasing force” against what he described as a “terrorist regime” in Iran.

In a public statement, Netanyahu detailed a series of recent strikes carried out by Israeli forces. According to him, Israeli pilots destroyed transport aircraft and dozens of helicopters at an Iranian Air Force base. He added that further operations targeted railway lines and bridges allegedly used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to transport weapons, raw materials, and personnel.

Netanyahu claimed that these logistical networks are instrumental in supporting operations not only against Israel but also against the United States and other countries in the region. He accused Iranian operatives of contributing to regional instability while simultaneously oppressing their own population.

“These actions… are not intended to attack the Iranian people,” Netanyahu emphasized, noting that the operations were approved in coordination with Israel’s defense leadership. “On the contrary, they are intended to weaken and crush the terrorist regime that has oppressed them for 47 years.”

The Israeli leader framed the campaign as part of a broader strategic shift, declaring that both Iran and Israel have changed significantly over time. “We are changing the balance of power from one end to the other,” he said.

The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, with growing concerns over potential regional escalation. Iranian authorities have not yet officially responded to Netanyahu’s latest remarks, but previous incidents have drawn strong condemnation from Tehran, which views such actions as violations of its sovereignty.

International observers warn that continued strikes on critical infrastructure could further inflame an already volatile situation, raising the risk of wider conflict involving multiple regional and global actors.
