Three Killed, Eight Injured in Landslide on Kedarnath Trekking Route.

Three devotees tragically lost their lives and eight others sustained injuries in a landslide on the Kedarnath Dham trekking route in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district. The incident occurred around 7:30 am near Chirbasa area on the Gaurikund-Kedarnath route when heavy stones and debris fell from the hillside.
Rudraprayag District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar confirmed the details, stating that rescue operations were promptly initiated by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local disaster management teams. As of now, three bodies have been recovered from the debris, and eight injured individuals have been rescued and rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Kishore Arun Parate (31) from Nagpur, Sunil Mahadev Kale (24) from Jalna district in Maharashtra, and Anurag Bisht from Rudraprayag.
Expressing condolences, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assured ongoing relief efforts at the accident site. In a statement, he mentioned, “Relief and rescue work is ongoing. I am closely coordinating with officials and have instructed to ensure proper treatment for the injured.” The rescue operation is continuing, with efforts focused on aiding those affected by the unfortunate incident.
