Jerusalem:

Israeli Prime Minister has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of four Israeli soldiers who were killed during military operations in Lebanon, describing them as “some of our finest sons” who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation.

In an official statement, Netanyahu paid tribute to Staff Sgt. Yoav Klein, Sgt. First Class Nir Ben Ari, Staff Sgt. Liav Kababia, and Staff Sgt. Nave Habshoosh, who were killed while fighting on the northern front. The Prime Minister said the loss had caused immense grief across Israel and extended his condolences to the bereaved families.

“The heart of the nation aches for the loss of four of our finest sons,” Netanyahu said, adding that he and his wife were sending their heartfelt sympathies to the families who had lost their loved ones in the line of duty.

The Prime Minister praised the fallen soldiers for their courage, dedication and heroism, stating that they fought on the front lines against the Hezbollah militant group in order to protect Israel’s security and its citizens. According to Netanyahu, the soldiers demonstrated exceptional bravery while carrying out operations aimed at countering security threats along Israel’s northern border.

The deaths come amid continued tensions and military confrontations between Israeli forces and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, a region that has witnessed repeated exchanges of fire and security incidents in recent months. The ongoing conflict has heightened concerns over regional stability and the safety of communities living near the border.

Netanyahu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to restoring security for residents of northern Israel, many of whom have faced disruptions and security challenges due to the ongoing hostilities. He emphasized that Israel would continue taking all necessary measures to ensure the protection of its citizens and maintain stability along the northern frontier.

“We will continue to do everything necessary to restore security for the residents of the north,” the Prime Minister stated.

The Israeli leader also offered prayers for the recovery of soldiers wounded in the fighting and called for national unity during a period of mourning. His message reflected the broader sentiment of grief being felt across the country as families, military personnel and citizens remember the soldiers who lost their lives in service to the nation.

Concluding his tribute, Netanyahu honored the memory of the fallen servicemen, saying their sacrifice would not be forgotten and that their legacy would remain a source of inspiration for future generations.

“May the memory of the fallen be blessed,” he said.
