Cycling Marathon and Slow Cycling Competition Held During Tribal Festival 2026 at Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti.

A cycling marathon and slow cycling competition was organised at Keylong in Lahaul-Spiti district on Friday as part of the ongoing Tribal Festival 2026, drawing enthusiastic participation from cyclists across different age groups.
The sporting event was inaugurated by Tehsildar Vikas Kumar, who flagged off the competition. Participants took part with great enthusiasm and energy, demonstrating discipline, competitive spirit and sportsmanship throughout the event.

The cycling competitions were organised in different categories to encourage participation among both senior cyclists and young enthusiasts. The event provided participants with an opportunity to showcase their cycling skills while promoting fitness and active lifestyles.
In the Senior Category Cycling Marathon, Sonam Jangpo secured first place, followed by Om Sharma in second position and Atul Kumar in third.
In the Under-15 Slow Cycling Competition, Jigmed Dorje emerged as the winner, while Ayush Singh secured second place and Ishan Sharma finished third.
In the Under-15 Junior Category Cycling Marathon, Dawa Gyalpo claimed first position, Jigmed Dorje stood second and Divyanshi secured third place.
The cycling event was organised with the objective of encouraging young people to take greater interest in sports and to promote fitness, healthy lifestyles and regular physical activity. The participation of cyclists from different age groups added to the competitive spirit of the event.

The competition also provided a platform for young participants to display their sporting talent and gain valuable experience in competitive cycling. Their enthusiastic participation contributed significantly to the success of the event.
