Youth Congress Stages Protest Against Central Government at Sundernagar in Mandi, Demands Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s Resignation.

The Youth Congress staged a protest against the Central Government at Sundernagar in Mandi district on Wednesday under the leadership of Indian Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib. The protest began with a rally from Jawahar Park and culminated at Maharana Pratap Chowk, where Youth Congress workers raised slogans against the Central Government and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The protesters demanded Shah’s resignation and burnt his effigy at the culmination of the demonstration. Carrying party flags and placards, the workers marched through the town, raising slogans over issues they said were affecting young people and the general public.
Earlier, addressing a public meeting at Jawahar Park, Uday Bhanu Chib accused the Central Government of ignoring issues concerning the youth and ordinary citizens. He called upon Congress workers to intensify their efforts and continue raising matters related to public welfare.
Chib said the Youth Congress would continue to highlight issues of public importance and mobilise young people through democratic means. Following his address, party workers took out the rally towards Maharana Pratap Chowk, where the protest demonstration was held.
The police made necessary security and traffic arrangements during the rally to maintain law and order and ensure smooth movement of vehicles in the area.
Several Congress and Youth Congress leaders participated in the programme, including former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sohan Lal Thakur, Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress president Chhatar Singh, Kinnaur district president Nigam Bhandari, and District Youth Congress president Nikhil Thakur. A number of other district- and state-level office-bearers were also present.
The demonstration marked a show of strength by the Youth Congress in Sundernagar, with workers reiterating their resolve to raise public-interest issues at the grassroots level.
