Himachal Pradesh Government Introduces New IT and Engineering Courses to Shape Youth’s Future.

In a significant move to equip the youth of Himachal Pradesh with the skills needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving job market, the state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has launched a range of new degree and diploma courses at various Government Engineering Colleges and Polytechnic Colleges across the state.
An official spokesperson revealed that the government has recently approved the introduction of a degree course in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Engineering College in Nagrota Bagwan, district Kangra. Additionally, a Civil Engineering degree course has been introduced at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Institute of Engineering and Technology in Pragatinagar, district Shimla. Furthermore, a diploma course in Computer Science and Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has been initiated at the Government Polytechnic in Sundernagar, district Mandi.
Highlighting the significance of these new courses, the spokesperson explained that Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science are integral to the modern world, where data drives business and societal processes. With AI and data science skills in high demand across industries, these courses will position youth to succeed in future job markets where automation and data-driven decision-making play a pivotal role.
