MLA Mohan Lal Brakta Attends Cultural Programme in Dhakgaon, Highlights Importance of Preserving Folk Traditions.

Rohru Assembly constituency MLA Mohan Lal Brakta attended a cultural programme organised by Vishnu Club Gaon at Gram Panchayat Dhakgaon under his home constituency Rohru in Shimla district as the chief guest.

On his arrival, Brakta was warmly welcomed by local residents, office-bearers of Vishnu Club, youth and women’s groups, along with people from the surrounding areas. The welcome included traditional musical instruments and floral garlands.

Brakta formally inaugurated the cultural programme and witnessed colourful performances presented by local artists and youth. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the importance of preserving folk culture, traditions and indigenous art forms, describing them as an integral part of the region’s identity and rich heritage.

He said cultural programmes provide an important platform for local artists while helping the younger generation remain connected with traditional customs and cultural values. Brakta congratulated all members of Vishnu Club Gaon for organising the event and extended his best wishes for their continued efforts.

During the programme, the MLA also interacted with residents and listened to their concerns, demands and suggestions relating to local development. He assured the people that every possible support would be extended by the state government on issues concerning the area.

Brakta further reiterated his commitment to working continuously towards the overall and balanced development of the Rohru Assembly constituency.

Panchayat representatives, officials from various departments, Congress workers, members of women’s and youth groups, and a large number of local residents were present on the occasion.
