Agrinnovate India Facilitates ICAR Partnerships with Industry for CSR Support in Agriculture.

The 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the 71st Board Meeting of Agrinnovate India Ltd. were held in New Delhi on September 24, 2026. The occasion also witnessed the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and three industry partners—Pidilite Industries Ltd., Venkateshwara Hatcheries Pvt. Ltd. and Everest Instruments Pvt. Ltd.
The partnerships, facilitated by Agrinnovate India Ltd., aim to leverage Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) support from the industry for public-benefit initiatives in agriculture and allied sectors. The collaborations are intended to strengthen efforts in research, innovation, technology adoption, capacity building and livelihood enhancement, while supporting sustainable agricultural development.

Jat, Director General, ICAR and Chairman, Agrinnovate India Ltd.; Gyanendra Tripathi, Secretary, ICAR and Vice-Chairman, Agrinnovate India Ltd.; Sandeep Sarkar, Financial Advisor, ICAR; Dr Praveen Malik, CEO, Agrinnovate India Ltd.; members of the Board of Directors of Agrinnovate India Ltd.; members of the Agrinnovate team; and other senior officials of ICAR.
The MoUs cover a broad range of priority areas relevant to the development of the agriculture and allied sectors. These include sustainable agri-food systems, climate-resilient agriculture and natural resource management, livelihood enhancement and technology transfer, as well as empowerment of women and youth.
The partnerships will also focus on promoting agri-startups, incubation and rural entrepreneurship, digital innovation and capacity building. Other areas of cooperation include nutrition-sensitive agriculture, biofortification, food processing and value-chain development, farm mechanisation, education and knowledge partnerships, and the One Health approach.
Through these collaborations, industry expertise and CSR resources are expected to complement ICAR’s research and technological capabilities, helping translate agricultural innovations into practical applications and public-benefit initiatives. The partnerships also provide a framework for undertaking additional activities in areas mutually agreed upon by the participating organisations.
