Ministry of Panchayati Raj Prepares for Special Campaign 4.0 to Promote Cleanliness and Efficient Governance.

New Delhi:

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is gearing up to actively participate in the Special Campaign 4.0, set to run from October 2 to October 31, 2024. This initiative, led by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), aims to foster clean and pro-environment workplaces while enhancing public grievance redressal mechanisms.

Building on the success of previous campaigns, the Ministry has implemented best practices that have resulted in 100% file management through the e-Office platform, effective space utilization, and the achievement of zero pendency in public grievances. A recent meeting chaired by Secretary Vivek Bharadwaj emphasized the importance of cleanliness and prompt grievance resolution, urging all divisions to collaborate for optimal outcomes.

To further address public grievances, the Ministry has dispatched teams to various states and Union Territories to ensure timely resolutions. Since September, of the 833 complaints received, 644 have already been resolved, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision of efficient governance.

The campaign also focuses on enhancing the workplace environment by introducing greenery and ensuring the proper disposal of physical documents. Flower pots and saplings have been placed throughout the office premises, contributing to a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

As part of its preparations, the Ministry conducted a mini workshop on record management, aiming to improve efficiency in handling files and documents. With a target of addressing 1,525 files during the campaign, the focus will be on reviewing and weeding out outdated electronic files to streamline operations.

Through this initiative, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj aims to instill a culture of cleanliness and efficient governance, making “Swachhata” a way of life for all officials and staff members.
