President Droupadi Murmu Attends Convocation Ceremony at Chhattisgarh Health University.

The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, graced the convocation ceremony of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Memorial Health Science and Ayush University in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.

In her address, President Murmu emphasized the rich herbal biodiversity of Chhattisgarh and the importance of documenting traditional medicinal knowledge, particularly among rural and tribal communities. She highlighted ongoing challenges in eradicating communicable diseases and urged healthcare workers to enhance public awareness and act as vital links between policymakers and citizens.

The President encouraged medical professionals to dedicate time to serving in rural areas, reinforcing their connection to societal needs. She also spoke about the influential role of doctors and teachers in addressing social issues, such as drug abuse and the importance of organ donation.

As she addressed the graduating students, President Murmu reminded them of their responsibility to give back to society, acknowledging the collective support they received during their education. She underscored the significance of health in fostering a developed Chhattisgarh and a prosperous India by 2047.

Reflecting on her visits to educational institutions in the state, she expressed optimism about the youth’s potential to contribute to a stronger and more prosperous nation.
