Indian Army and Singapore Armed Forces Conclude Successful Joint Military Exercise “Agni Warrior 2024”.

The 13th edition of the Joint Military Exercise “Agni Warrior 2024” (XAW-2024), a bilateral training initiative between the Indian Army and Singapore Armed Forces, concluded today at the Field Firing Ranges in Devlali, Maharashtra. The three-day exercise, which took place from 28th to 30th November, featured 182 personnel from the Singapore Armed Forces and 114 personnel from the Indian Army’s Regiment of Artillery.

The primary objective of XAW-2024 was to enhance mutual understanding of military drills and procedures to foster jointness in a multinational force, in line with the United Nations Charter. The exercise provided a platform for both nations’ artillery units to showcase joint firepower planning, execution, and the use of New Generation Equipment.

Lieutenant General Adosh Kumar, Director General of Artillery, Lieutenant General NS Sarna, Commandant of the School of Artillery, and Colonel Ong Chiou Perng, Chief Artillery Officer of the Singapore Armed Forces, were present to witness the event. The dignitaries commended the professionalism and expertise displayed by the troops during the exercise.

The exercise also involved thorough joint preparation, coordination, and an in-depth understanding of each country’s artillery capabilities and procedures. It highlighted the exchange of best practices and the integration of cutting-edge technologies. Through this collaborative training, both nations’ forces further strengthened their ability to operate seamlessly together, ensuring enhanced operational readiness and mutual defense capabilities.
