PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh Assures Immediate Aid to Fire-Affected Families in Tandi, Banjar.

Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh visited Tandi village in Banjar subdivision of Kullu district today to assess the aftermath of a devastating fire that engulfed the region on Wednesday. The fire destroyed nearly 17 houses, along with cowsheds and other properties, leaving several families displaced.
During his visit, Minister interacted with the affected residents and expressed his heartfelt concern for their well-being. He assured them that the state government would provide all possible assistance for their recovery. “We stand with the families who have lost their homes, and we will ensure that all necessary support is extended immediately,” said Singh, while meeting the villagers.
The Minister further directed the Public Works Department to expedite the construction of the road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) IV, which will significantly improve the region’s infrastructure and connectivity.
In an effort to alleviate the immediate hardships faced by the victims, Minister distributed ration kits to the affected families. These kits will provide essential food supplies as they begin the process of rebuilding their homes and lives.
Additionally, Singh assured the residents that the government would release relief funds promptly as per the amended relief manual. “We understand the gravity of the situation and are committed to providing financial assistance to help rebuild the lives of those affected,” he added.
The visit highlighted the government’s swift response to the crisis, with the Minister reaffirming the administration’s commitment to supporting those in need and ensuring timely recovery. The villagers expressed their gratitude for the government’s timely intervention and the Minister’s personal attention to their plight.
