Shimla:

BJP Media Co-Incharge Rajat Thakur met with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi to discuss the current condition of the Central Schools in Dharmpur and Sandhol in Mandi district. Thakur provided detailed information about the schools’ issues and emphasized the need for immediate improvements.

During the meeting, Union Minister Pradhan assured Thakur that the situation at both schools would be addressed soon. He confirmed that the budget for the construction of the Dharmpur Central School building would be allocated promptly.

Thakur brought to the Minister’s attention the issue that there is no proper seating arrangement for students, which has led to concerns about the possibility of not admitting first-grade students this year. Pradhan, however, reassured that no class would be closed, and the principal could not unilaterally decide to shut any class. He assured Thakur that arrangements would be made to resolve the issue swiftly.

Moreover, Pradhan emphasized that until the building construction is completed, the state government is responsible for ensuring the availability of necessary facilities, including seating for the children, to avoid any inconvenience to the students.

After meeting with the Union Minister, Thakur also met with Anurag Thakur, the Member of Parliament for Hamirpur and former Union Minister. They discussed the plan for constructing additional rooms at the school, as suggested by Anurag Thakur. The MP assured that he would soon arrange for the construction of two new classrooms at the school.

This initiative aims to improve the educational infrastructure in the region and ensure that students do not face any challenges in their learning environment.
