BJP Dharampur Stages Protest Over Pahalgam Terror Attack, Demands Strong Action Against Pakistan.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dharampur Mandal of Mandi district organized a protest on Monday at Mandap Bazaar condemning the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. The attack claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians who were reportedly targeted based on their religion and brutally killed.
Led by BJP State Co-Media In-Charge Rajat Thakur, the protest saw party workers raising slogans against Pakistan, accusing it of supporting terrorism and destabilizing peace in India. Thakur labeled the attack as “heinous and shameful,” calling for national unity and a decisive response from the Indian government.
A memorandum addressed to the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, was submitted through Naib Tehsildar Mandap, Om Sikha Sharma, urging strong diplomatic and strategic action against Pakistan.
Rajat Thakur emphasized that terrorism has become a global concern and needs to be addressed collectively. He added that repeated acts of terrorism backed by Pakistan continue to threaten Indian lives and security, demanding a firm and united political stance in retaliation.
Prominent BJP leaders and supporters present at the protest included Mandal President Lakh Raj Thakur, Zila Parishad Member Jagdish Chand Bitta, Murari Lal (Pradhan, Chowki), Savita Gupta (Pradhan, Chunauta), Baldev Parashar (Pradhan, Brang), former Pradhan Dalip Singh, Sunil Kumar Rana, Krishan Chand Paihad, Shambhu Ram, Hem Singh, Roop Singh, Nanak Chand, Pawan Kumar, Dharam Singh, and Ram Lal.
The protest highlighted growing public outrage and BJP’s demand for concrete measures to combat cross-border terrorism.
