NCC Cadets Inspired by Motivational Lecture by Wing Commander Rishipal Rana (Retd.) and Dr. Arvind.
Emphasis on Discipline, Perseverance, and Goal-Oriented Growth.

As part of the Annual Training Camp–192, organized by the 1 HP Air Squadron NCC, Kullu at IIT Mandi, cadets were deeply motivated by a powerful and inspiring lecture delivered by two distinguished guests — Wing Commander Rishipal Rana (Retd.) and Dr. Arvind, Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway.
Both speakers highlighted the transformative power of discipline, consistent hard work, and goal setting, encouraging cadets to approach their dreams with unwavering dedication. Wing Commander Rana shared insights from his personal journey in the Indian Air Force, emphasizing how perseverance and self-belief can overcome even the toughest challenges.
To honour their contribution, Camp Commandant Wing Commander Kunal Sharma presented mementos to the guests. He underlined the camp’s focus on holistic training, incorporating drill, sports, weapons training, firing, aero-modelling, cultural programs, and guest lectures to shape well-rounded cadets.
Prof. Tushar, Dean of Students’ Welfare at IIT Mandi, also addressed the cadets and praised their discipline and enthusiasm, acknowledging their commitment to national service.
Currently, Flying Officer Nishchal Sharma and Flying Officer Dr. Chaman are conducting structured academic sessions to support cadets preparing for ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate courses as part of the camp curriculum.
ATC–192: A Platform for Rigorous and Comprehensive Training
The training camp, which commenced on 17 June 2025, has been made possible with the full administrative support of IIT Mandi. A total of 450 Air Wing NCC cadets from 14 schools and 2 colleges across Himachal Pradesh are participating.
The camp also serves as a selection platform for prestigious national events like the Pre-Vayu Sainik Camp and the Republic Day Camp. It is scheduled to conclude on 26 June 2025.
