Modern Veterinary Hospital to Be Built in Rohru at Cost of Rs. 1.22 Crore.

A significant step toward improving animal healthcare in the region, a modern veterinary hospital building will soon be constructed in Rohru, Himachal Pradesh. The foundation stone for the Rs. 1.22 crore project was laid by Rohru MLA Mohan Lal Brakta, who has played a key role in pushing this long-pending demand at the government and assembly levels.
The project, to be executed by the Public Works Department, Rohru Division, aims to provide advanced veterinary services to farmers and livestock owners in Rohru and surrounding areas. MLA Brakta emphasized that the state government is actively working to promote livestock development and animal welfare through various schemes. The new facility will enhance the effective implementation of these programs in the region.
Key Features of the New Building:
- Total of nine rooms, including:
- Operation Theatre
- Outpatient Department (OPD)
- Modern Laboratory
- Additional essential service rooms
- Modern sanitation facilities, water supply system, and complete site development will make the building fully equipped and functional.
Once completed, the hospital will offer improved vaccination, treatment, and emergency services for animals. It will also support government initiatives related to livestock protection, breeding, and dairy production. Additionally, the construction phase is expected to generate local employment opportunities.
This project fulfills a long-standing demand of the local population. The PWD has assured that the construction will be completed on time and with high quality standards. MLA Brakta stated that the project will serve as a milestone in the socio-economic development of the area, highlighting that the Congress party is committed to continued growth and development in Rohru.
