BJP Chief Spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal said that Congress candidate from Mandi parliamentary constituency PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh is still having the monarchical mentality. After tough struggles, India became independent in 1947. But Vikramaditya Singh still considers himself a king.

Rakesh Jamwal was campaigning in favour of BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut at Batwara, Sanihan and Kandar under Sundernagar assembly constituency in Mandi district. He said that Vikramaditya should know that in democracy the public is supreme and the public is the king.

Jamwal said that, if Vikramaditya says in public forums that he has no desire for the post, then why did he come to Delhi with his mother to get the Public Works Department?

“Vikramaditya considers himself a very smart politician, but he is still unable to understand that his Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is pushing him to the margins. He is repeatedly mentioning his actions during the disaster. He should explain why he could not provide help to every disaster affected person? Being a public representative, it is everyone’s ultimate responsibility to serve the public” said Jamwal.

“During the disaster, BJP MLAs went door-to-door to inquire about the condition of the affected people and provided them all possible help. But then they did not do the work of telling it repeatedly on every platform. Vikramaditya feels that if he goes out of the house, he is doing a big favour to the public, which reflects his mentality of monarchy” he added.

“I feel very sad for Vikramaditya Singh that first of all he will have to face defeat in the results of Lok Sabha elections on June 4. After this, he will be forced to sit at the table of the opposition due to the departure of the Congress government from the state. I urge Vikramaditya that before coming from the ruling party to the opposition, first take at least that two yards of land for the set up of his father’s statue, for which he had resigned from the cabinet” said Jamwal.
