Public Works Department Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Vikramaditya Singh, participated in the Municipalika – Smart & Sustainable Cities Conference held in New Delhi, where urban local bodies, city planners, industry leaders, and policymakers from across the country deliberated on innovative approaches toward building safe, smart, and sustainable cities.

The conference witnessed the esteemed presence of Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar, whose address added inspiration and direction to the deliberations. Discussions focused on key aspects of future-ready urban development, including water management, solid waste management, sanitation, public transportation, digital governance, affordable housing, and environmentally sustainable infrastructure.

Vikramaditya Singh described the platform as an important opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from successful urban models being implemented across the country. He emphasized that the insights gained during the conference would be effectively utilized to strengthen urban development initiatives in Himachal Pradesh.

Reaffirming his commitment, the Minister stated that the state government is dedicated to making Himachal’s towns and cities more livable, clean, green, technology-enabled, and inclusive, ensuring people-centric and forward-looking urban growth.
