13th National Pencak Silat Championship Concludes in Karnataka: Himachal’s Arsh Vaidya Wins Bronze.

The 13th Pre-Teen, Sub-Junior, and Junior National Pencak Silat Championship was successfully organized from September 26 to 28 at the District Sports Complex and Khelo India Centre in Koppal district, Karnataka. The event was held under the aegis of the Indian Pencak Silat Federation and hosted by the Karnataka Pencak Silat Association.

The championship witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 1,400 athletes representing teams from all states across India.

Among the participating states, Himachal Pradesh made a proud mark as Arsh Vaidya from Mandi district secured a bronze medal in the Pre-Teen Boys 36 kg weight category, bringing glory to the state.

Sharing the information, Joginder Singh Azad, President of the Pencak Silat Association Himachal Pradesh, congratulated the young athlete on his achievement and highlighted the state’s growing talent in martial arts.

The Himachal team was guided by two dedicated coaches:

  • Payal Sharma from Mandi district, who led the women’s team
  • Rakesh Kumar, who coached the men’s team

The association’s leadership also expressed their appreciation and support for the medalist. Chairman H.D. Panchani, President Joginder Singh Azad, Vice Presidents Brij Lal Chauhan (Mandi) and Surender Kumar, General Secretary Mohammad Javed, Joint Secretary Sher Singh, Treasurer Banita Kumari, and Executive Members Narender Kumar, Rohan, and Devgya Awasthi collectively extended their heartfelt congratulations to Arsh Vaidya.

This achievement reflects the rising potential of Pencak Silat as a martial art form in Himachal Pradesh and the dedication of young athletes and their mentors.
