On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri extended heartfelt greetings and good wishes to the people of the state. The leaders conveyed their messages of peace, prosperity, and collective harmony as Himachal Pradesh prepared to celebrate the festival of lights.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, in his Diwali message, wished for the good health, well-being, and prosperity of every citizen. He emphasized the deeper significance of Diwali, stating that it symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. “The lighting of lamps is not only a tradition to brighten our homes, but also a means to rekindle eternal truths and moral values of life,” he said.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu described Diwali as a celebration that not only illuminates homes but also enriches hearts and society with righteousness and goodwill. He urged citizens to celebrate the festival in an atmosphere of peace, unity, and mutual respect. “Let us all come together to build a progressive and prosperous Himachal Pradesh. May this Diwali bring happiness, prosperity, and harmony to all,” the Chief Minister said in his message.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri echoed similar sentiments, highlighting Diwali as a festival that conveys the message of love, compassion, and brotherhood. He encouraged people to celebrate with a spirit of togetherness, so that “the light of joy and hope reaches every household and every life.”
