Rapid Road Development Under MLA Priority Scheme Accelerates Growth in Balh Assembly Constituency of Mandi.

Under the direction and continuous supervision of MLA Inder Singh Gandhi, the Balh Assembly Constituency of Mandi district is witnessing fast-paced and inclusive development. A major focus area has been the construction, widening, and expansion of rural roads under the MLA Priority Schemes, through which projects worth several crores of rupees have been completed, while some are progressing rapidly.

According to official updates from the MLA’s office, multiple key road projects—critical for enhancing connectivity across villages—have already been completed, significantly improving local transportation and easing daily travel for residents.

Completed Road Projects

  1. Chadhidhar–Murari Mata Temple Road (Construction started in 2022; now completed)
  2. Riped–Fatehpur–Barswan Road
  3. Chandiyal–Pipli–Kathwari–Kanditarapur–Kharshi–Mansa Devi to Tikkar Road
  4. Rajgarh–Rigad Banglow–Khiyuri Road
  5. Tanwa Kummi–Rajgarh–Sakaroha–Gagal Road
  6. Gagal–Khandla–Rajgarh Road
  7. Gaud Nala to Dusrra–Khabu Road
  8. Khandi Mod via Chhajhwan–Khabu Dravyash–Vikas Road (Construction completed)
  9. Ambala–Galu–Kapahi Road (Widening and expansion completed)

Work in Progress

  • Nerchowk–Ratti–Kalkhar Road (Construction progressing at high speed)

These projects—funded entirely through the MLA Priority budget—have collectively utilized several crores of rupees, transforming road connectivity across remote areas of the constituency. Improved road conditions have not only reduced travel time but also enhanced access to markets, health facilities, and educational institutions.

MLA Inder Singh Gandhi reiterated his commitment to infrastructure development, stating:
“Ensuring all-weather road connectivity to every village and hamlet in Balh is my top priority. The pace of development will continue with the same momentum in the coming years.”

With ongoing upgrades and new road projects in the pipeline, Balh constituency is set to witness further infrastructural strengthening, ensuring long-term benefits for residents across rural and semi-urban regions.
