Education Minister Rohit Thakur Attends Bicentennial Celebrations of Government Senior Secondary School Arsu in Kullu.

Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur today participated as the Chief Guest in the bicentennial celebrations marking 200 glorious years of the establishment of Government Senior Secondary School, Arsu, located in the Nirmand Subdivision of Kullu district. The event was organized during his visit to the Ani Assembly Constituency and was held alongside the school’s annual prize distribution ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, the Education Minister congratulated the school management, teachers, students, and alumni on the completion of two centuries of dedicated service in the field of education. He said that Government Senior Secondary School, Arsu, has played a historic and commendable role in spreading education in the region and has contributed significantly to shaping generations of students over the past 200 years.
On the occasion, students who excelled in academics, sports, and cultural activities were felicitated for their outstanding achievements. Rohit Thakur emphasized that such events not only encourage healthy competition among students but also help inculcate discipline, leadership qualities, teamwork, and strong social values.
Highlighting the State Government’s commitment to strengthening the education sector, the Education Minister stated that under education-centric policies, special focus is being laid on empowering schools in rural and remote areas. Continuous efforts are being made to provide modern educational resources, improve infrastructure, and create opportunities for the holistic development of students.
He reiterated that the State Government is dedicated to ensuring quality education for every child and to preparing students to meet future challenges through innovation, skill development, and value-based learning.
