Champa Thakur Appointed as DCC President Mandi, Pledges Dedicated Service to Strengthen Congress in Mandi.

Champa Thakur, daughter of senior Congress leader and former minister Kaul Singh Thakur, has been appointed as the President of the District Congress Committee (DCC) Mandi by the party’s high command. The appointment comes as part of the Congress Party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its organizational presence in Himachal Pradesh.
Expressing her gratitude, Champa Thakur thanked the central leadership, PCC In-charge Rajni Patil, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, and PCC President Vinay Kumar for entrusting her with the new responsibility. “I assure you all that I will work with complete dedication, honesty, and commitment to strengthen the organization, reach the party’s policies to every citizen, and make the Congress Party even more powerful,” she stated.
Champa Thakur also expressed her heartfelt thanks to former PCC President Pratibha Singh for her guidance, blessings, and encouragement. “Inspired by her experience, I will fulfill my responsibilities with utmost sincerity,” she added.
She further emphasized her commitment to working closely with every party worker to strengthen the party at the grassroots level and advance the mission of public service. “I am dedicated to ensuring that every responsibility entrusted to me is carried out with full honesty and commitment,” she said.
Champa Thakur has previously served as the Chairman of the District Council Mandi and has contested elections from the Mandi Sadar Assembly constituency twice for the post of MLA. Her appointment is seen as a strategic move by the Congress Party to consolidate its organizational base in the Mandi district ahead of future political challenges.
