Abhilashi University Organizes Eight-Day Faculty Development Programme on NEP–2020.

Abhilashi University, Mandi, is successfully conducting an eight-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on the National Education Policy–2020 (NEP–2020) from January 1 to January 9, 2026, with the objective of strengthening awareness and effective implementation of the policy in higher education institutions.
The programme has brought together eminent academicians and subject experts from renowned universities and institutions across the country. Through their academic expertise, reflections, and practical insights, the resource persons are providing a comprehensive understanding of the multidimensional reforms envisioned under NEP–2020, benefiting faculty members and research scholars participating in the programme.
While addressing the participants, Vice-Chancellor Prof. H. K. Chaudhary emphasized that faculty development programmes focused on NEP–2020 are the need of the hour. He stated that the policy promotes multidisciplinary learning, a holistic approach to education, and innovation-driven teaching methodologies, which are crucial for enhancing the teaching–learning process and preparing students to meet future academic and professional challenges.
The FDP is featuring detailed lectures by distinguished scholars including Prof. D. R. Thakur and Prof. S. S. Kanwar from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla; Prof. Shefali Nagpal from Bhagat Phool Singh Medical University, Sonipat; Prof. Rajendra Shirsat from Goa University; Prof. N. K. Tomar from the Central University of Rajasthan; and Prof. H. K. Mishra from the Central Hindi Directorate, Delhi. The experts elaborated on important aspects such as the Indian Knowledge System, holistic and multidisciplinary education, learner-centric pedagogy, and practical strategies for classroom implementation of NEP–2020.
The programme also includes interactive sessions and discussions on classroom diversity, evolving learner needs, innovative teaching–learning practices, assessment reforms, and integration of research with teaching. Faculty members and research scholars from different parts of the country are actively participating and gaining valuable insights into aligning teaching methodologies, research practices, and evaluation systems with the objectives of the National Education Policy–2020.
