Tragic House Fire in Himachal’s Sirmaur Claims Six Lives, Including Three Children.

In a horrifying incident late Wednesday night, six members of a family were charred to death in a devastating house fire in Talagna village, falling under the Ghanduri Patwar Circle of Nohradhar tehsil in Sirmaur district.
The fire broke out around 2 a.m. at the residence of Mohan Singh, where seven people were reportedly asleep at the time. The blaze spread rapidly, engulfing the house and trapping the occupants. Only one person survived, while six tragically lost their lives.
The deceased have been identified as:
- Naresh of Taproli, Rajgarh,
- His wife Tripta,
- Kavita from Kumda village in Chaupal,
- Their three young children: Sarika, Kritika, and Kritic.
The victims had been visiting Mohan Singh’s residence as guests. The intensity of the fire was so severe that authorities faced difficulties in identifying the bodies.
Lokender (42), husband of Kavita, was rescued by villagers in a critical condition and immediately shifted to a hospital in Solan. His condition remains serious.
Local police and administrative teams reached the scene promptly and have initiated relief operations. The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation by authorities.
This tragic incident has left the local community in shock, highlighting the vulnerability of homes in hilly areas to fire-related accidents and raising calls for improved fire safety measures.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed profound grief over the tragic fire incident at village Talangna in Sangrah, Sirmaur district, which claimed the lives of six people, including children, and left one person injured. The Chief Minister described the incident as unfortunate and offered his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, praying for the peace of the departed souls.
The Chief Minister has directed the district administration to carry out a thorough investigation into the cause of the incident and to ensure that all possible assistance is extended to the bereaved families at the earliest. He also directed to ensure the best medical treatment for the injured person.
CM Sukhu prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and for strength and courage to the grieving families to endure this irreparable loss. He also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured person.
