Himachal Pradesh’s football fraternity is celebrating a moment of pride as Lovekesh Sheria, a football professional from Sundernagar in Mandi district, has been appointed Head Coach of the Rajasthan State Senior Football Team for the prestigious Santosh Trophy. The appointment marks a significant achievement in his coaching career and highlights the growing recognition of talent emerging from the hill state at the national level.

Lovekesh Sheria’s journey in football coaching has been shaped by years of dedication, education, and hands-on experience. Closely associated with Triumph FC, he earned recognition for his disciplined coaching philosophy and strong focus on player development. His consistent efforts and structured approach helped him progress steadily through the Indian football coaching system.

Currently serving as a coach at FC Brothers United, Jaipur, Lovekesh is an NIS Diploma holder and possesses the AFC ‘B’ Coaching License. His selection as Head Coach of Rajasthan reflects his technical knowledge, leadership skills, and ability to manage senior-level football in high-pressure competitions.

The Rajasthan team is set to compete in the Final Round of the Santosh Trophy, one of India’s oldest and most competitive football tournaments. Rajasthan will begin its campaign on 21st January against Uttarakhand, with Lovekesh Sheria leading the side as Head Coach in the crucial opening fixture.

Hailing from Sundernagar in Mandi district, Lovekesh Sheria continues to inspire young footballers and aspiring coaches from Himachal Pradesh. His rise from grassroots football to guiding a state team at the national level is being viewed as a proud moment for Himachal Pradesh football and a clear indication that coaches from the region are making their mark across the country.
