Mandatory Registration of Pet Dogs in Mandi Municipal Corporation Area.

The Municipal Corporation, Mandi has made it mandatory to register all pet dogs within the municipal limits. This decision has been taken in the interest of public safety, cleanliness, and proper management of pet animals in the city.
According to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rohit Rathour, the registration of pet dogs is essential to ensure better monitoring, control of stray-related issues, and the overall well-being of both citizens and animals. The initiative aims to promote responsible pet ownership and maintain a clean and safe urban environment.
“At present, a total of 106 pet dogs have already been registered through the Citizen Service Portal. However, despite repeated appeals, several pet dog owners have not yet completed the registration process” he remarked.
The Municipal Corporation has directed all pet dog owners to get their dogs registered online through the Citizen Service Portal within the next 15 days. Failure to comply with this directive will invite action as per the rules and regulations in force.
The Municipal Corporation has urged residents to cooperate with the administration by ensuring timely registration of their pets, thereby contributing to civic discipline and public safety.
