Manali Administration Launches War-Level Operations to Restore Roads and Essential Services After Heavy Snowfall.

Shimla:

Following heavy snowfall in Manali on Friday, the region witnessed clear weather and bright sunshine on Saturday and Sunday, much to the delight of tourists. As soon as the weather improved, the Manali administration swung into action and began large-scale snow clearance operations to restore normal life in the tourist town.

The administration, along with the police and other concerned departments, has started work on a war footing to clear snow from roads and restore traffic movement. Simultaneously, efforts are underway to restore essential services such as electricity and water supply, which were disrupted due to the heavy snowfall.

Special attention is being given to clearing snow on the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) roads and the Left Bank road to Manali to ensure smooth traffic flow. After restoring traffic on these major routes, instructions have been issued to focus on clearing snow from rural roads in the Manali Assembly constituency.

Manali MLA Bhuvneshwar Gaur stated that strict directions have been given to the Manali administration and all departments to work at a war level to reopen roads and restore traffic, electricity, and water supply at the earliest. He also appealed to the residents of Manali to extend all possible help to tourists stranded due to the snowfall.

The MLA further informed that he himself is on the way to Manali while overseeing the restoration of traffic. He appreciated the relentless efforts of the administration and all departments for continuing operations despite challenging weather conditions.

The dedicated work being carried out by the Manali administration and associated departments amid heavy snowfall truly deserves appreciation.
