MLA Prakash Rana Attacks Sukhu Government Over Loans, Revenue Claims in Himachal Assembly.

Shimla:

BJP MLA Jogindernagar Prakash Rana on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government during the Vidhan Sabha session in Shimla, accusing it of shifting blame for its failures. Targeting the Congress government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Rana said it was wrong to claim that the BJP was responsible for the state’s financial troubles.

Rana criticized the government for allegedly taking loans from the Centre to pay salaries and pensions. He asserted that instead of depending on borrowings, the state government should generate and increase revenue through its own resources. Questioning the Chief Minister’s performance, Rana asked what concrete steps had been taken in the last three years to strengthen the financial system of Himachal Pradesh.

He further stated that the Chief Minister is accountable to the people and must inform the public about the work done during his tenure.

Rana alleged that Sukhu is the first Chief Minister of the state to have taken the highest loans within three years. He also accused the CM of contradicting his earlier promises of making Himachal self-reliant by 2027 and the richest state by 2032.
