CM meets Union Health Minister JP Nadda, seeks Support for Bulk Drug Park.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met with Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda in New Delhi yesterday, urging for increased financial assistance towards the state’s initiatives, particularly emphasizing the Bulk Drug Park.
During the meeting, CM Sukhu underscored the state government’s dedication to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services, aiming to reduce dependency on out-of-state medical facilities. He highlighted the necessity for advanced medical technology in local hospitals, stressing its potential to elevate healthcare standards within the state.
Furthermore, CM Sukhu pressed for funds to expedite the completion of ongoing projects at Nahan, Chamba, and Hamirpur medical colleges, emphasizing the importance of quality medical education and the need to support nursing students seeking international placements.
Addressing the crucial role of the Bulk Drug Park in fostering economic growth and generating employment opportunities locally, CM Sukhu appealed for additional financial support from the Centre.
Union Minister Nadda assured comprehensive assistance from the Central Government, affirming commitment to bolstering the state’s healthcare infrastructure and economic initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur, Principal Secretary Finance Devesh Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar, Resident Commissioner Meera Mohanty, and Private Secretary to the Union Health Minister Ashutosh Garg.
