New PTA Executive Committee Formed Unanimously at Vallabh Government College, Mandi.

The new executive committee of the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) of Vallabh Government College, Mandi, for the academic session 2026-27 was constituted unanimously at a general body meeting held at the conference room of the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Library Building on the college campus.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Principal, Vallabh Government College, Mandi. Faculty members and parents participated in the general body meeting and unanimously elected the new office-bearers and members of the association.
Narender Singh was unanimously nominated as the President of the PTA, while Dr. Radhika Jamwal was appointed General Secretary. Sneha Sharma was nominated as Vice-President, Dr. Asha Singh as Treasurer, and Ramesh Kumar as Joint Secretary.
In addition, Dr. Ratan Lal Verma and Surender Thakur, who has previously served as PTA President on two occasions, were appointed as Advisors to the association. Dr. Ritesh Verma was unanimously nominated as the Local Auditor.
The new executive committee members include Advocate Lalit Kumar Thakur, Inderdev, Vinay Kumar, Dr. Om Prakash Thakur and Dr. Sanjay Kumar Thakur, who were also unanimously nominated to the committee.
During the meeting, the PTA Annual Report for the academic session 2025-26 was presented before the house by Dr. Ratan Lal Verma. The report highlighted various initiatives and activities undertaken by the PTA during the previous academic year for promoting the college’s academic and co-curricular development, safeguarding students’ interests and strengthening coordination between parents and the institution.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr. Sanjeev Kumar congratulated the newly constituted executive committee and extended his best wishes to all the newly nominated office-bearers and members. He said that the PTA serves as an important bridge between the college, students and their parents.
Dr. Kumar emphasised that continuous communication and positive participation between the college and parents are essential for ensuring the holistic development of students. He expressed confidence that the newly constituted committee would play an active role in further strengthening the academic quality of the institution and ensuring that the interests and welfare of students remain a priority.
The Principal further said that collective participation, transparency and mutual cooperation can help the college achieve new heights of academic and institutional excellence. He called upon all the newly appointed office-bearers and members to contribute actively towards the overall development of the college.
The formation of the new PTA executive committee through consensus reflects the spirit of cooperation and collective responsibility among the college administration, faculty and parents. The association is expected to continue working towards strengthening parent-institution coordination and creating a supportive academic environment for students.
The general body meeting was attended by members of the teaching faculty and parents of the students.
