BJP Leader Raja Singh Malhotra Graces ‘Aarohan’ Cultural Programme at Mandi College.

A grand cultural programme titled ‘Aarohan’ was organised at Vallabh Government College, Mandi, by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Mandi College Unit, on Monday. The programme aimed to provide students with a platform to showcase their artistic talents while promoting Indian culture, art and traditions.
BJP leader Raja Singh Malhotra was the chief guest at the event and interacted with students during the programme. His presence added significance to the cultural gathering, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and members of the college community. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Sanjay Thakur as the guest of honour, Shyam Lal Thakur as the programme president, and Abhi Thakur as the special guest.
Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries encouraged students to actively participate in cultural and creative activities alongside their academic pursuits. They highlighted the importance of such programmes in providing young people with opportunities to express their creativity, develop confidence and remain connected with cultural traditions.
A major attraction of the programme was the performance by artist A.C. Bhardwaj, whose presentation entertained the students and the audience. The programme also featured a series of cultural performances by college students, who showcased their talent through various artistic presentations.
The organisers said that education should not be limited to academics and that the overall development of students requires exposure to art, culture, creativity and social activities. According to the ABVP unit, programmes such as ‘Aarohan’ are intended to encourage students to explore their talents and participate actively in the cultural life of the college.
The college campus witnessed an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement throughout the event, with students participating actively in the various performances and activities.
The ABVP Mandi College Unit expressed gratitude to Chief Guest Raja Singh Malhotra, Guest of Honour Sanjay Thakur, Programme President Shyam Lal Thakur, Special Guest Abhi Thakur, artist A.C.
