State Government to Establish Model Health Institutions in Each Assembly Constituency, Says CM Sukhu.

In a significant move to enhance healthcare accessibility, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced today that one health institution in each assembly constituency will be upgraded to a model health institution, with an allocation of Rs. one crore for necessary equipment and machinery.
The announcement was made during the flag-off ceremony of the Tonglen mobile clinic bus service at the Circuit House in Dharamshala. The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare services directly to the community.
As part of the broader initiative to improve health and education services, Sukhu highlighted plans to enhance emergency services by upgrading casualty departments in colleges statewide. Notably, the government is also establishing advanced cancer treatment institutes to address the rising number of cancer patients, providing free medicines and treatment facilities in government hospitals. A list of 42 essential cancer medications will be made available at no cost to patients in need.
During his visit, the Chief Minister addressed public grievances, assuring residents of ongoing efforts to resolve issues through various welfare schemes. He encouraged cabinet ministers to engage directly with rural communities, minimizing the need for residents to travel to district headquarters for assistance.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma and HPTDC Chairman R.S Bali, among others, who also interacted with delegations presenting their concerns.
