CM Chairs ‘Abhivyakti’ Annual Function of HPAS Officers Association, Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to Strengthening Administrative Services.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over the annual function ‘Abhivyakti’ of the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS) Officers Association, where he emphasized the government’s dedication to fortifying administrative services and implementing reforms aimed at enhancing efficiency and governance.

In his address, the Chief Minister lauded the commitment and invaluable contributions of HPAS officers, particularly those serving in remote areas, highlighting their pivotal role in the execution of government policies and programs. He expressed that these officers are the backbone of the state’s administration and called upon them to engage actively in decision-making for the betterment of the state and its citizens.

CM Sukhu emphasized the government’s vision of ‘Vyavastha Parivartan,’ underlining the importance of reforms to uplift every section of society. He reiterated the state’s commitment to eliminating ‘delayed corruption’ and introduced forward-thinking policies to ensure transparency, efficiency, and ease of governance.

The Chief Minister also laid out his roadmap for the future, aiming to make Himachal Pradesh a self-reliant state by 2027 and one of the most prosperous in the country by 2032. Despite challenges such as economic, political, and natural hurdles, he assured that the government remained resolute in its vision for progress, propelled by strong willpower and clear-sighted policies. Key sectors including hydro power, tourism, food processing, data storage, agriculture, and horticulture are at the forefront of the state’s strategic initiatives.

Further praising the HPAS officers for their exemplary service, the Chief Minister recognized their vital role in ensuring the reach of government schemes and policies to the people. He assured the officers of the government’s unwavering support and commitment to addressing their concerns. A high-level state meeting will soon be held to discuss and resolve any issues faced by HPAS officers.

During the event, the Chief Minister also unveiled the new logo, flag, and souvenir of the HPAS Officers Association, symbolizing the unity and progress of the organization.

The Chairman of the Association, Shrawan Manta, welcomed the Chief Minister and provided an overview of the organization’s activities. In a significant move, all HPAS members voluntarily decided to forgo the power subsidy and submitted their applications in this regard.

A cultural program showcasing the rich traditions of Himachal Pradesh was also presented as part of the event. MLA Neeraj Nayar, Additional Chief Secretary Onkar Chand Sharma, Secretary to the CM Rakesh Kanwar, CM’s OSD Gopal Chand, along with various office bearers of the association, retired officers, and other dignitaries were present to witness the occasion.

In closing, Association Secretary Prashant Sarkaik extended a vote of thanks, acknowledging the Chief Minister’s support and the collective efforts of the HPAS officers towards the state’s progress.
