Former MLA Ravi Thakur Donates Rs. 50,000 to Support Lahaul Festival in Jispa.

Former MLA of Lahaul and Spiti, Ravi Thakur, attended the Lahaul Festival in Jispa, where he was warmly felicitated by Lahaul Eco Tourism Society President Kalzang Tashi and his team. Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Thakur thanked the organizers for their affection, respect, and continued trust.
Commending the efforts of the Lahaul Eco Tourism Society in promoting the region’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and tourism, Thakur announced a financial contribution of Rs. 50,000 from his personal fund to support the successful organization of the festival. He said the festival is a commendable initiative that showcases the unique identity of Lahaul while encouraging sustainable tourism and preserving local traditions.
Thakur emphasized that such cultural events play a vital role in protecting the region’s heritage, strengthening community participation, and creating new opportunities for local youth through tourism-related activities.
