Meeting Held to Discuss Various Schemes by Municipal Corporation Mandi with Women’s Groups and Self-Help Groups of Nela ward.

A meeting was organized by the Municipal Corporation Mandi in Nela ward to provide information about the various schemes run by the corporation. The event saw active participation from women’s groups and self-help groups from the Nela ward. The meeting was graced by District Child Protection Officer NR Thakur, who shared valuable insights into the schemes available for children. Thakur focused particularly on the measures being taken at the grassroots level to curb the rising trend of substance abuse in the area.
On behalf of the Municipal Corporation, Subject Expert Vishal Chandel provided detailed information on topics such as the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, cleanliness initiatives, and other related schemes.
As part of the event, women’s groups from Chadyana, and Shilha Kiper participated by singing group songs that highlighted the detrimental effects of drug abuse. Particularly notable was the performance of the students from Shilha Kiper, who presented a short skit, which captivated the audience and effectively conveyed the message about the dangers of substance addiction.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the local councilor, Rajender Mohan, who expressed his gratitude to all the participants for their active involvement. The meeting was a significant step toward raising awareness about the ongoing efforts to combat drug addiction and promote various government schemes in the region.
