Decade-Old Dream Realized: 3x50m Span Bridge Inaugurated at Rohmoo, Pulwama.
Pulwama:
In a landmark development for South Kashmir’s rural infrastructure, a long-pending bridge project at Rohmoo in Pulwama district was officially inaugurated today by the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah. The newly completed 3×50 meter span bridge marks a pivotal step in enhancing rural connectivity, offering relief to thousands of residents who had faced immense hardships due to the project’s prolonged delay.
CM Omar Abdullah stated that the bridge, which had remained neglected for over a decade despite multiple promises from successive governments since 2015, was finally completed under the current administration’s renewed focus on critical surface connectivity projects. The delay had not only disrupted daily life for locals but also posed significant safety hazards, especially during adverse weather conditions.
He emphasized that the swift completion of the bridge underlines the government’s commitment to fast-tracking infrastructure in remote areas. “This project is a testament to our dedication towards inclusive development and ensuring that no region is left behind,” said CM at the inauguration.
With the bridge now open for public use, residents of Rohmoo and surrounding villages can look forward to safer and more reliable access to essential services and economic opportunities.
