Rakesh Jamwal Questions Priyanka Gandhi Over Unfulfilled Poll Promises in Himachal.
Shimla:
BJP’s chief spokesperson in Himachal Pradesh, Rakesh Jamwal, has strongly criticized Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi for questioning the Central Government while failing to fulfill her own promises made during the Himachal Assembly elections.
Jamwal pointed out that Priyanka Gandhi had assured women of Rs. 1500 monthly support before the elections, but even after nearly three years, there is no sign of implementation. He said that the people of Himachal, especially women, are still waiting for answers and clarity on this key guarantee. “Where is the budget allocation? Where is the benefit?” he asked.
He further added that when Himachal was hit by natural disasters, it was only the Central BJP Government that provided real support. Over Rs. 5500 crore in relief funds and additional packages were provided by the Centre, while the Congress government in state was slow in distributing aid.
Jamwal criticized the Congress for turning a government event at Ridge Ground, Shimla, into a political stage, focusing only on speeches and accusations instead of reviewing real progress and relief efforts. He urged Congress leaders to provide a public audit of their promises and explain how many beneficiaries have actually received any support.
He concluded by saying that the era of fake guarantees and hollow speeches is over. The people of Himachal now demand accountability, transparency, and real results, and will express their decision through their votes in the coming elections.
