Congress Holds Key Meeting of Sadar Block Rural Zones at Kotli in Mandi.
Shimla:
A key meeting of the rural zones of the Sadar Block Congress was held at Kotli in Mandi district under the chairmanship of Block Congress President Hemraj Thakur. District Congress President Champa Thakur attended the meeting as the chief guest, while Sadar Congress in-charge Hem Singh Thakur and District Congress spokesperson Ramlal Sharma were present as special guests.
The meeting, organised as per the directions of the Pradesh Congress Committee, focused on strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level, ensuring coordination between the party and government, and helping the public benefit from state government programmes.
Addressing the gathering, Champa Thakur strongly criticised the BJP-led Central Government in the centre, alleging that it has lost public support among farmers, horticulturists, students and other sections due to its policies. She also alleged discrimination against Himachal Pradesh in matters concerning the state’s interests.
Hem Singh Thakur shared suggestions with workers to strengthen the organisation, while Ramlal Sharma claimed that Sadar constituency had witnessed development under the Congress and criticised leaders who had switched to the BJP.
Several party leaders and zonal presidents addressed the meeting. Hundreds of senior workers and office-bearers attended. Hemraj Thakur urged workers to work together with renewed energy and thanked everyone for their participation.
