Rahul Gandhi Wants to Replace Democracy with Mob Rule, Alleges Jai Ram Thakur.

Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the INDIA bloc of attempting to destabilise the country and undermine democratic institutions to capture power.

Addressing the ‘Developed India Youth Dialogue – Know Your Vote’ programme at Sardar Patel University, Mandi, Thakur said Rahul Gandhi had realised that people had rejected him and was therefore trying to create unrest through allegations of vote theft. He alleged that the Congress wanted to bring about a regime change through anarchy and mob rule.

Thakur said the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls was aimed at ensuring that no ineligible names were added and no eligible voters were removed. He urged young people to counter misinformation and understand the electoral process.

Praising the enthusiasm and patriotism of youth, he said their participation was essential to achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed, peaceful and self-reliant India. He expressed confidence that Modi would return to power in 2029.

Separately, Thakur criticised the Sukhu government over the reported suspension of free diagnostic testing services in government hospitals across Himachal Pradesh. He alleged that patients were being forced to approach expensive private laboratories for tests.

He also accused the state government of weakening the Himcare health insurance scheme and demanded the immediate restoration of free diagnostic facilities, saying the disruption was causing hardship to patients.
